The project was the renovation of an existing warehouse into a new office and distribution facility for the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. The goal was to re-configure the existing facility to meet the delivery, sort, rack, freeze, and distribute needs of the organization. The distribution area needed to accommodate small car pick-up to large truck order pick-up in the same area with a high level of efficiency to keep the end-users moving. The solution allowed for staging and quick retrieval of orders in a central area. Cars and trucks can pull inside to get out of bad weather. The offices were re-configured and a new entrance added to meet the staff and volunteer current needs.
