Liberty Street Commons | AODK :: Architecture Office :: David Krebs

Liberty Street Commons combines seven existing buildings in downtown Wooster into a new mixed use development. The project is located in the center of the central business district on Liberty Street, the main east-west axis street. The development consists of apartments, offices and 30,000 s.f. of retail space. The planning goal was to create a retail center that would act as an internal street. The internal street is a heated and cooled space with 21 retail spaces that will give people a break from the inclement weather in Ohio. This central destination point will help maintain pedestrian traffic and customers all year round in the downtown. The existing 1960's renovations to the exteriors were removed and the facades were re-created to be harmonious with the historic character of Wooster.
