Quinby Building:: Wooster, Ohio | AODK :: Architecture Office :: David Krebs

The project is the interior and exterior renovation of an existing 3 story building in the historic district of downtown Wooster. The goal was to create two floors of residential on the second and third floors and maintain the street level as retail. The solution was to cut a new stair core into the building up to the apartments. With the existing 12 ft. ceilings, we have designed the walls to be built only 8'-0" high to allow for natural light and exposed brick walls, exposed spiral ductwork and the 10'-0" high windows are to be the design focus of the apartment interiors.
