The project is an expansion of an existing church facility to include a new 500 seat worship center, fellowship/ gathering area, new offices and expansion of classrooms. The new addition includes a 500 seat auditorium style worship center, a 6,000 S.F. gallery/fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms and office areas. The goal was to expand a contemporary church facility to accommodate a rapidly growing congregation with diverse ministries and missions. The facility should be a landmark structure acting as a beacon to draw people into the church. The solution is to provide a new organization along a central circulation axis running through the original church and a previous building addition. The circulation axis is capped with a large glass entry vestibule and gallery facing the nearby interstate; allowing views into the space from the road and the parking areas. A new main entry is direct to the main parking lot and has been massed to be visible from a distance away. The new sanctuary will be designed to accommodate contemporary worship, speakers, plays, with engineered solutions of acoustics, sound, video and lighting. The project addition is designed to seamlessly attach to the old so it looks like a unified building and not an addition.
