The project is a new Church facility on an open 57 acre site. This new building includes an 800 seat sanctuary, a 300 seat banquet room with commercial kitchen, two 150 seat youth chapels, a 10 class room preschool as well as miscellaneous classrooms and administrative offices. The goal was to create a facility that will maximize user interaction and be both a home for a growing local congregation and a venue for regional conferences and other Christian events. The solution was to organize the building along a 20’ wide, two story sky lighted, gallery that connects a 40’ high by 2700 s.f. octagonal main gathering area at one end with a 100 person café entry at the other end. The circulation to the preschool and classrooms moves around a 6,000 s.f. central courtyard that always connects back to the main gallery. All corridors can be extended out for future expansion. The large facility is design so all programmatic uses will be accessed thru the common gallery to promote interaction among the congregation.
