The project is a renovation and addition to an existing church facility on a 5 acres site to include new 700-seat sanctuary, 6,500 s.f. fellowship hall, nursery, classrooms and training rooms, and renovated offices. The goal is to provide a growing fellowship with an adequate facility that will properly equip them to continue God’s mission for their church, while maintaining the original character of the 1800’s chapel. The solution is to develop an efficient plan that provides a lobby large enough to accommodate a fellowship hall that will be used regularly for before and after service fellowship. The lobby and new grand entrance creates a simple and cohesive plan that had never existed. The 700-seat sanctuary will be sufficient to support the growing congregation and allow for desired church activities including drama and choral performances. A future dual-purpose fellowship hall will act as a 300-seat banquet hall, including warming kitchen, and a recreation center that will include a full size basketball court, 2 volleyball courts, and a full size AWANA game circle. A total of 14 additional classrooms allows for proper divisions for multiple age groups and religious education classes.
