A 7,360 S.F main entry and gathering area, fellowship hall, and classroom addition to an existing 6280 S.F. Sanctuary, and classroom building. The new addition includes a warming kitchen, new restrooms, future classroom space and a new parking area.
Supplement an existing late 1800’s church sanctuary with a contemporary church building program that will serve the growing community of the surrounding area while allowing the existing sanctuary building to remain the visual focal point of the entire facility.
The floor plan organizes the existing and new spaces as well as the new entry around the gallery or central gathering space. An open ended courtyard was created to provide space between the new addition and the existing sanctuary and to allow that connection to be as minimal as possible. The existing exterior masonry color, brick detailing, window shapes etc. have been continued in the new addition.
