The project is a new private residence on a densely wooded site. The goal was to create a primary residence that will be a retreat for the owners. The house will also function as a tranquil place for guests to come and stay for weeks or even months at a time. The solution includes developing two master suite areas that are distinct and separated. The one on the first floor will be for the guests now and will be used for the owners as they get older and move down from their second floor suite. The highlight of the main floor will be a barrel-vaulted space in the living room with moveable walls to accommodate an intimate setting or a piano concert for 35 people.
