Project: Knuth West | AODK :: Architecture Office :: David Krebs

The project was new facility for a women's high fashion clothing store in an existing strip center. The goal was to create a boutique that has multiple defined shopping areas while focusing on shoe display. The solution was to organize the new space around the shoe display with a heavy drywall soffit above with light wire suspended glass shelves hung below. The space is expanded by the use of large floor to ceiling mirrors placed thru the retail area. Cove lighting is also used thru the retail area to raise the height of the ceiling. The sales work area is linear at the end of space to provide visual and physical control of all spaces while allowing them to constantly interact with customers.
