The project is a new hair salon in an existing retail center for a young and aggressive entrepreneur who wanted a theme of water. The goal was to design a contemporary salon to attract a hip clientele. The solution was to create floating water-like structures in the ceiling soffits, glass wall through the space and floor patterns. The space is divided by the floating structures into the left side as the chair/ styling area and the right side as the waiting and reception areas. The design won an award as a Salon of the Year in its category in SALON Magazine for 2001.
